Brideshead Obliterated is a reimagining of the greatest, gayest novel of 1945. This joyfully anachronistic literary deconstruction explodes the homoerotic subtext of Evelyn Waugh’s dusty English classic Brideshead Revisited, using an ensemble of six to dismantle the novel’s frightening relationship to queer desire, assimilation, and destroying what we love. A 90-minute workshop production ran for one night at Dixon Place in October 2017.
