Old Bones
An immersive multimedia adventure through Brooklyn in search of Baba Yaga, designed for an audience of one.
Old Bones combines augmented reality video, on-foot exploration, puzzle solving, and live performance in a haunting journey through Brooklyn, culminating in a one-on-one encounter with the witch Baba Yaga. Act 1 is an after-dark audio play that summons Baba Yaga to the listener's own bathroom. Act 2 is an augmented reality video journey through Prospect Park. Act 3 is a one-on-one appointment with Baba Yaga herself inside her underground storefront.
Old Bones was produced by AntiMatter Collective in October 2016 and was selected to participate in the inaugural 2016 Future of Storytelling Festival, NYC’s first immersive media festival.
“expands the parameters of immersive theatre … mysterious, spine-chilling, and strangely sexy”
